Journal’s mission – through various categories of researchers (researchers, teachers, postgraduates, doctoral students, undergraduates, agricultural specialists from Russia, CIS countries and far abroad) scientific communication to promote the agroforestry science development in the direction of agricultural land rational use, of land degradation processes (desertification, salinization, solonetscity, etc.) and their prevention using scientifically based types and volumes of complex reclamation based on aerospace research methods and GIS technologies to increase soil fertility, sustainable agricultural production and rural development in the context of global and regional climate change, extreme natural anomalies, as well as to solve the priority problems of the agro-industrial complex at the regional, federal and international levels on the sectoral and interdisciplinary knowledge basis.

The journal purpose is to publish and distribute the fundamental and applied research results of russian and foreign scientists on agriculture, forestry and land reclamation scientific support, highlighting the problems of rational nature management and adaptation of agroecosystems to changing climatic conditions.

Tasks of the journal:

• prompt information about the latest achievements of russian and world science in the field of agriculture and forestry;
• improving the quality level of the publication (including the involvement of leading russian and foreign scientists as authors and reviewers);
• involvement of young researchers in the professional community;
• expansion of the distribution channels of the journal and scientific knowledge;
• integration into the international scientific space (including indexing in foreign databases), creation of a new journal model that meets the standards of an international periodical (publication of the best articles in English);

The journal publishes original scientific articles, reviews, discussions, critiques, chronicles (scientific events, anniversaries of scientists).
